We are long over due for a blog post...what's new?!? We really enjoyed our very long vacation for Christmas break. We stayed so long visiting our family that we started to miss being home. We were very fortunate and blessed to be accommodated by such loving parents while we were in California. The highlight of Melanie's trip was being reunited with a close cousin of hers. The afternoon that Melanie flew home was the same day that her cousin would be returning home from her mission in Prague. So it was a very joyous moment for them to hug each other again, shed some tears and share missionary experiences with one another.
Soon after, Kyle made his way to California and joined the fun. We had such a great time hanging out with friends and family. It was a memorable experience to attend the temple as a family to perform baptisms. What a great feeling it is to be able to serve in the House of the Lord with loved ones. Unfortunately...as always, we didn't pull out our camera as often as we should have during this trip. :( But we hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's celebration. How grateful we are for testimonies of truth, living servants of the Lord and the knowledge of the Savior's love and Atonement. May this year be prosperous for each of your families and one that is full of joy and spritual progress!

It sounds like you two had a wonderful time in California. We are glad that you are back! We will have to do something exciting now that Melanie is done with school.
You guys take such cute pictures. We love keeping up with you, even if your blog posts are so few and far between. :) Glad you had a fun Christmas in California... we missed California this Christmas and look forward to going home next year! Happy New Year to you both! And for sure, let us know if you're ever in Denver - we'll be back there next summer and we know lots of great places to see!
That's cool you saw your cousin, I remember you talking about her, but I didn't realize she was still gone. Is that last picture at the Bellagio? We missed the winter display and last time we went, they were setting up for Chinese New Year but had it roped off to set up....
