Oh geez...let me tell ya, it has been sooo hard to motivate ourselves to keep this blog updated! Maybe we feel like we never have anything going on, therefore, no need to update the blog. Well, when you have a little 18-month-old running around the place like a maniac, there is always something going on to make life a little more interesting.
So, here is our attempt to kick off this new year with more posts. Now, we present to you, Mr. Bryce Carter.
Ha...don't you love his turtleneck!
Bryce playing with his favorite gal-pal, Grace. She is the cutest thing!
Having fun destroying my house. j/k
Not only does Bryce love reading books, but occasionally he enjoys eating them as well! :) Long gone are the days when we thought that the thick cardboard paged books could withstand an 18 month-old! He literally has shred them all to pieces! Now that more teeth are breaking the skin, Bryce is just chomping on everything in sight, from these poor books, to our wood furniture too! He hasn't used his teething ring more than he does now!
But Bryce sure loves to grab a book, make himself comfy in your lap, and flip through its pages. He loves to point at things, especially if it's an animal. He can accurately point to any dog in a book. We'll often tell him "Let's read a book." It's fun to see him pick one out, walk directly back to us, sit in our lap, and begin to read. This Cars book is probably by far his favorite one. He'll point and say "car!" Obviously, it's starting to fall apart...go figure! So since he loves this book so much, we keep it in our Sunday Bag, that way he'll stay content during Sacrament Meeting. He can be sneaky sometimes...this photo shows that he found the Sunday Bag from it's hiding place and grabbed his book for a little reading time.
Lastly, this is how we end our crazy days! This boy has a lot of energy! I'm positive he gets it from his Dad! :) He is always here, there and everywhere, that by the end of the day, he is filthy. In fact, the majority of the dirty clothes in the laundry belong to him! The funny thing is, all we have to say is: "Let's take a bath!" Then he'll hurry to the bathroom and try to climb in before his clothes are off. He loves bath time! And we LOVE him!
