We're back home and back in the swing of things...including blogging. ;) We had such a fun vacation and were truly spoiled being with all of our family and friends. Those four weeks sure went by fast! Before we go into our California vacation, we need to share how our Easter celebration went. We spent it with Kyle's brother and his family in Utah. It was such a fun experience for us to see the smiles on all of our nephews and nieces faces as they scurried around to hunt for easter eggs. Bryce was too cool to participate this year, but he whispered to us that he would like to give it a try next Easter.
While traveling to and from California, Bryce did so well! We are so proud of our little guy! Upon our arrival, we were greeted with rainy and overcast weather, but eventually that diminished and we were enjoying sunshine in no time.
We were fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time with my family and Kyle's family for the duration of our vacation. It was so great catching up with relatives, enjoying each other's company, and introducing Bryce to all of his family members that love him as much as we do.
A fun visit that we made was to meet Miss Cosette, who is a few months older than Bryce. Her mommy and daddy are close friends of ours and used to live not too far from us. Their reactions were too adorable when they first laid eyes on each other! Something about a baby looking at another baby brings some sort of excitement to them...I sure wish I could have understood all of their babblings and I wonder what thoughts were going through their minds as they just sat there staring and smiling at one another.
Bryce is growing leaps and bounds and is now 9 months old. He still has only two bottom teeth, but is progressing in other exciting areas...like crawling. He now is using all four legs to explore.
While on vacation, he also discovered his nose...which resulted in a little bloody mess. He has since learned to feed himself finger foods. His favorite snack is Cheerios and strawberries. Bryce loves to pull himself up on everything, especially the piano to play a few random keys. :)
Bryce does just fine playing and entertaining himself. One day I realized that he was off playing for quite a long time. I soon discovered what had kept his interest for so long. It was the cutest thing seeing him off all by himself completely entertained.
Don't worry...once I got a closer look too, I snatched that dirty thing out of his hands. That sure made for one sad baby though! :( In an effort to cheer him up, we went to swim and go on a long walk outside.
To wrap things up, we just got home from another trip. This time we met up in Utah to witness the baptisms of our niece and nephew, and to participate in another niece's baby blessing. It was fun being with so many family members again. It felt like a little mini reunion, except that we were missing two families. Bryce loved playing with all of his cousins. It was a short trip and we wish it could have lasted longer...as always.
We're unsure when our next trip will be, but until then, we'll try to keep our camera handy to capture all of Bryce's fun discoveries.
