We're sooo late at posting Bryce's 7 month photo! Next week he'll already be 8 months old so we're super late! Lately Melanie has been getting together with a few friends of hers and discussing baby stuff and our lives in general. When Melanie mentioned that Bryce was still waking up two times at night to eat, she noticed some looks on her friends faces that read, "Uh-oh, he's old enough to sleep through the night." So, after some advice, Melanie was told to cut out the first feeding, then eventually drop the second feeding so that Bryce can learn to put himself to sleep and sleep the entire night without eating.
We were bracing for 30 minute crying spurts and screaming the first night that we gave this a shot, but to our surprise, when he woke up for his first feeding, Bryce cried for less that 10 minutes then drifted back to sleep until 2. Each night was similar and we haven't had to hear him cry for more than 10 minutes. He has adjusted so well to eating less during the night. Soon we'll give that last feeding the boot, but until then, we're enjoying more sleep and a baby that can put himself back to sleep.
We feel so lame and that we're going about things all wrong, but luckily Melanie has some great friends that can help us out with pointers. Bryce probably should have been sleeping through the entire night months ago...we're such rookies. But all in all, Bryce is a great baby and goes down without any fussing at all....most of the time! He still has his days. :)
We recently had some family pass through on their way to General Conference a few weeks ago. We rarely get to see them since they live in Idaho and they're super busy. We had a great time catching up with them! We can't wait to see more family now that Easter is around the corner. Bryce loves seeing all of his relatives.
We'll have to be more diligent at taking more photos. We have a lot of fun in store for us in the near future and we want to share it with you all. 'Til then, enjoy the warm sunshine! We definitely are!

I still can't believe how big Bryce is getting... and I see him all the time! they really do grow up so fast! I still feel like a rooky and Zaya is almost 2! I think being a parent is hard because what works for one child may not work for the next. What am I going to do when this next one comes? :)
