New News!

We have some exciting news to share! We have been thinking about adding to the Kropf family for some time now, and we're finally able to share with everyone that the newest member of our family is....no...not a baby this time around...but a 2004 Honda Accord! We have shared our beloved truck for a couple of months now, but with school on the horizon, we knew that it wouldn't be smart to have Melanie stranded at home with a baby. Kyle uses the truck for work and returns home in the afternoon, but now that he will be going straight to school from work, we thought it would be wise for us to acquire a new vehicle. We are pleased with our purchase and it has been working out very well. Now Melanie can run errands and do some grocery shopping anytime she wants, instead of having to wait until Kyle comes home from work.
Another addition to our household is this lovely bench that we scoped out on Craigslist. For only $10 bucks, we couldn't pass it down. So we drove down the street, and immediately knew where we would put it. Melanie is a slacker when it comes to taking 'before' photos, but we do have one mid-way.The legs were a dark wood color with a lot of scrapes, scratches and buff marks. Bryce loves every opportunity he gets to hang out in the garage with Melanie while she paints furniture. He can play for hours in his pack & play if we let him. After running out of thread, this project had to go on the back burner until Melanie made it to the store. It was a pretty simple project, and was Melanie's first attempt at re-upholstering a piece of furniture. We love the results! We're in the process of redecorating our entry area and formal living and dining rooms. When things start coming together, we'll snap some photos.Until then, Melanie can't wait to tackle her next project... :) Stay tuned!!
