We have been juggling so many things this past while...it has really pooped us out! I forgot to post my photo at the concert that we went to:
Again, I have to say that the show was amazing! Then for a while, this is what I was up to: Nearly up to my ears assembling flowers for the Stake Young Women's Broadcast & Dinner. I'm not complaining though...that's the kind of stuff that I love doing! Here's me opening up my birthday gift-giving my Silhouette a little love. Next up is our date night to Texas de Brazil for Kyle's birthday: Mr. Kyle recently celebrated his birthday and we had a grand 'ol time! We love dining at Texas de Brazil. We first went there with our realtor after we purchased our home about 3 years ago. It was a fun and unforgettable experience with close friends and amazing food!
We dropped off Bryce with some friends of ours, then rushed over to the restaurant to be on time for our reservation. We had a nice, tucked away table near the back, so it was nice to be able to focus on just us and have a pleasant night chatting. We both made sure that we were extra hungry for our dinner there, because it is an all-you-can-eat feast of incredible filet mignon, top sirloin, bacon wrapped chicken, lamb, veal...you name it, they make it! There are also pastas, salads, etc., but we reserve our appetites for the meat!
To end the meal, Kyle got a slice of chocolate mousse cake with a birthday candle on top. (No singing this time around! We went to Denny's the week before for breakfast, and the whole crew came out singing to Kyle and gave him a nice bowl of ice-cream...for breakfast! It was funny to see the look on Kyle's face when he heard singing coming from behind him! He said that he immediately thought, "Oh no...I hope that singing isn't meant for me!")
After our delicious feast, we picked up Bryce, and he reacted like he usually does when he sees us...he screams! It's so funny that he doesn't just run up to us and express that he's glad to see us again. Oh no, he does the opposite and screams at us because he realizes that we had left him! Silly kid! It was a fun night though!
The next morning, we had crepes for breakfast...Kyle's request. We then took a drive up to Red Rock Canyon. It was the perfect day with the warm sun rays beaming down on us. The rest of the day was pretty relaxing mixed along with a little bit of shopping. Kyle also got a new game for his birthday, a stash of his favorite candy, Reese's, and not to mention, a road bike. He is really enjoying his bike rides in the mornings and evenings. It's been so long since we've enjoyed a Saturday to lounge around without any plans on our calendar, but we have definitely been having some major fun with friends and family a lot lately. The next post will fill you in on our HUGE family reunion that we hosted at our home...with about 35 people! Stay tuned! :)
