General Conference bound...

I realize that this post is very late...but I've been waiting to upload some photos before posting about our incredible trip to General Conference! I know this sounds crazy, but this was the first time since we've been married, that we have traveled north of Cedar City together! Our usual trips to Utah are mostly in St. George, so we never travel further than that.

Well, this time around, we had the privilege of attending the 182nd Semi-annual General Conference in Salt Lake City! We were thrilled to have the opportunity not only to attend GC, but to visit Kyle's parents that are serving a mission at the Church History Library! :)

On our way up, we were expecting to try to get in the Conference Center on "stand-by" and wait in line and hope that there would be space for us. Upon our arrival to the Kropf residence, they shared some great news that they were able to get us tickets to attend the Saturday Morning Session! We were thrilled....and this was my FIRST time attending!

I hadn't stepped foot in the Conference Center since I had Visitors' Center Training during my stay at the MTC. I loved my tour of it, as well as that of Temple Square...about 5 years ago!

Conference weekend in Salt Lake is busy, but pleasant as you see fellow Saints eagerly waiting to hear the voice of the Lord's chosen servants. Kyle's parents took us to tour the Church History Library, and we all walked around the temple, snapped photos, and even took a stroll through City Creek. This time of year is a bit chilly for me, but it was refreshing.

We began our trek with some of our favorite people: Ty & Margaux, with Reese and Rylee in tow, of course! We enjoyed catching up with them for a bit before heading off for Salt Lake City the next morning.

We had such an amazing time listening in the Conference Center. It was so neat to be present when the Prophet announced the age changes for missionary service! What a special time we live in to witness the amount of missionaries increase around the world!

The weekend was filled with laughs, yummy meals and fun memories. We really enjoyed our trip to visit Mom and Dad's mission and being able to spend time with them as they showed us around a little bit. Bryce was Grandpa's little pal. We know he had a fun time playing with all of his cousins throughout the weekend. We were fortunate to have been able to see so many of Kyle's siblings and nieces and nephews!

We have been engaged in missionary work in our ward and have loved our time laboring with some excellent missionaries. We have been able to teach, fellowship and become friends with many of the people that they are teaching, and with people that have recently been baptized.

There have been baptisms almost every week for the past while. It has been so exciting for us! We make sure to attend each baptismal service and go out of our way to help them feel welcomed.

Every autumn, our Stake hosts a Stake Fair. We had great food and were about to leave after socializing a bit because we assumed that Bryce was too little to play the carnival games or go on the rides. Luckily we gave him a chance because he dominated at every game that required throwing, whether it was a basketball, bean bag, ping pong ball, etc. He won every game and got so many tickets, that we went home with a Thomas the Train Pillow Pet.

In October, we also hosted our tri-annual dinner party with our closest friends. Our theme for the night was Asian food-to satisfy Kyle's ever long craving for Kimchi and all things Korean! We had a bunch of fun and loved all of the tasty food! It's always so fun to catch up with them and see our group grow and grow with little babies!

I was invited to a Witch's Tea this year with a bunch of friends from the ward. Seriously, no detail was over looked! The decor, entrees, photos, etc. were all over the top! Witches hats are a must and everyone has fun socializing, posing for photos and eating 3 entrees...not including dessert! It was so fun for me to get in the mix with so many fun ladies in the ward!

For Halloween, Bryce was a Ninja. We went to our ward's Trunk or Treat and had fun eating chili dogs, sipping piping hot apple cider and walking around the parking lot for candy. Bryce loved watching candy get dropped into his bucket. He got quite a bit of loot! By the end of our rounds, his bucket was so heavy, that he was nearly dragging it! But he didn't dare let go of his earned candy!

The next night was Halloween and we were invited to go to a friend's home to have dinner, dessert and go Trick or Treating with friends. About an hour before leaving, Bryce puked! Kyle stayed home with him while I took over our menu item and stayed for a bit to eat and help clean. We were so looking forward to seeing Bryce in action! Luckily by the next day, he was back to his normal self and healthy!

We love this time of year and the many changes it brings. Kyle is working hard every day at work and we're glad that he does so with a smile. He's loving YM's and is a fun guy for the boys to look up to. I started holding a craft day once a month for all the ladies in the ward. Last month we met at my house and made these large Growth Charts for only $11...they retain anywhere from $50-$75. Bryce loved having so many friends over to play with! :)

Well, I think that catches us up for the month of October! More exciting news to come in the next week or so! :)
