We had such an incredible weekend with Momma and Poppa visiting Bryce Canyon. We kicked off the trip Friday night when they arrived at our home to pick us up and head to St. George to have a slumber party at Eric and Jessica's home (Kyle's brother). The next morning we started bright and early to head off to Bryce Canyon. The drive was scenic and so beautiful. The weather was fantastic too. After our time at Bryce Canyon, we visited and drove through many quaint, tiny towns...it was a lot of fun. We were able to see some very old church chapels and historic buildings. We also drove up and around mountains that allowed us to catch a glimpse of the amazing views of the canyons and valleys in gorgeous Utah.
We initially intended to arrive back in Las Vegas early Saturday evening so that we could attend the UNLV vs. BYU football game, but we figured that UNLV would lose anyway, so we just took our time driving back. As we listened to the game on the radio in the car, we knew that we made the right choice not to attend the game because UNLV got whomped.
On Sunday Momma and Poppa attended church with us. The talks were great...they all were about missionary work, so we loved every second of it. We were also assigned to offer the opening and closing prayers. After Sacrament Meeting, we bid farewell to Ma and Pop as they made their journey back to California. It was such a wonderful weekend and we wish it could have lasted longer. We are so blessed for all the support that they give us and we're grateful for the beautiful creations that the Lord has made for us to enjoy.
By the way, Kyle has been called to serve as Elders Quorum 2nd Counselor! He is going to do a fantastic job!
